Beat the October rush by visiting Big Bear Oktoberfest during September for off-peak pricing, fewer crowds and great entertainment lineup.
Opening weekend Sept. 10-11 is again a tribute to America’s Heroes, with free admission for past and present military, law enforcement, EMT personnel and firefighters carrying proper ID. Opening ceremonies at 4 p.m. pay special tribute to America’s troops. Bear Valley Marine Corp color guard presents the flag, the first keg is officially tapped, and Oktoberfest newcomers Kleinen Bär Tänzer perform.
The Express Band plays the opening weekend of Big Bear Oktoberfest, voted number one in California by AOL, on Saturday from noon-midnight and Sunday from noon-5:30.
One week later on Sept. 17-18 Oktoberfest welcomes Alpenklange band direct from Germany for its only weekend on the stage. The six piece band features horn players and is a European favorite making its first visit to Big Bear. The following weekend on Sept. 24-25 is the first of three for NEW Mainfloesser Band featuring Felix Christel so September offers a lot of cluck for your buck.
The best way to save a buck when you cluck is with the coupon for free Sunday adult admission throughout Oktoberfest in Big Bear Today Magazine, available free at fine locations in Big Bear—a savings of up to $9 for adults, $6 for seniors.
