Dokken Rocks The Cave Big BearAmerican classic hard rock band Dokken takes The Cave Big Bear stage in August. But the metal rockers are hardly the month’s only highlight.

In fact a terrific tribute to Prince, an all-female tribute to Guns `N Roses, and the musical competition that is Beatles vs. Stones, keep August rocking at Big Bear’s intimate concert venue where every seat is front and center. It’s the place in Big Bear to party with dance floor directly in front of the stage and full cocktail service including offerings from Big Bear Lake Brewing Co. State-of-the-art lighting and sound system enhance the concert experience as do special effects like lasers, fog machines, even “snow” periodically falls.

DOKKEN brings its heavy-hitting heavy metal sound to The Cave one night only August 27. Founder and vocalist Don Dokken is joined by a lineup that includes original drummer Mick Brown along with Jon Levin and Chris McCarvill. Dokken has sold over ten million albums worldwide during its long-running career that has propelled the band to the forefront of the metal scene.

Hits include charting singles “Home Again,” “In My Dreams” and “Burning Like a Flame.” In 1989 “Beast from the East” was nominated for the inaugural Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. Dokken’s song “Dream Warriors” was featured in the movie “A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.”

More recently the band’s release of “Lightning Strikes Again” was its most successful album in over a decade. Dokken is in the midst of a U.S. Tour with future shows in Japan on the radar too. Tickets for the rocking night start at $30.

Even before his untimely passing Erotic City’s tribute to PRINCE at The Cave Aug. 5 has been in demand for over two decades.
