Laughs Galore During First Annual Big Bear Comedy Festival

Big Bear Comedy FestivalLaughs galore are in store during the first annual Big Bear Comedy Festival in the Village November 4-5.

The two-day comedy bender features performances by comedians seen on Comedy Central, Last Comic Standing, the Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Kimmel shows, and more. Each has varying comedic styles guaranteeing something for everyone.

There’s seven shows with over a dozen comedians at multiple venues in the Village including The Cave, Nottingham’s Tavern, Big Bear Lake Brewing Co. and Chad’s. Shows range from “LR” to “Adult,” kicking off with “Tap the Funny” at 7 p.m. on Nov. 4 at Nottingham’s to Saturday’s 11 p.m. closer “Poisoned” at the brewery. In between there’s shows like  “Chuckle Chasers,” “Only the Nasty Survive,” “Battle of the Sexes” and more.

All the performers have some serious credits. Suli McCullough is a former writer for Jamie Foxx and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, while Flip Schultz has performed with George Carlin, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Greg Giraldo and Dana Carvey, who asked him to co-write his new comedy special.

Liz Stewart has been on TV Guide Network, Reelz Channel, Nuvo TV and Sirius XM radio and made 2013’s Best of the Fest at the SLO Comedy Festival. Other performers include Mark Fry who has numerous TV and commercial credits, Allison Weber, Shawn Halpin, Chris Rubio and more.

Friday shows are at Nottingham’s  and Chad’s Place with Nottingham’s, The Cave Big Bear and Big Bear Lake Brewing Co. Saturday’s venues.

Advance tickets are $15 for each show or $20 at the door. Weekend pass good for all performances is $49.
